Combinations

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 14, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Combinations ("we", "our", "us"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Combinations Android application (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

The App is published by Appercat Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore, which is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@combinations.org.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Automatically Collected Information

When you use the App, we or our third-party partners may automatically collect:

2.2 Advertising Identifiers

We may use your device's Google Advertising ID (GAID) to deliver personalized advertisements through Google AdMob. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized advertising, at any time in your device settings under Google → Ads.

2.3 Locally Stored Data

Your game progress, statistics, and preferences are stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to our servers.

2.4 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not require account registration. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily contact us.

3. Advertising

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the App. AdMob may use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies to collect information about your interactions with ads and to deliver personalized advertisements based on your interests. For more information about Google's data practices, please visit How Google uses information from apps that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy.

We also offer optional rewarded ads that allow you to earn in-game hints by watching a short video advertisement. Viewing rewarded ads is entirely voluntary.

If you opt out of personalized advertising, you will still see ads, but they will not be tailored to your interests.

3.1 Consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the App shows a consent message provided by Google's User Messaging Platform, a consent management platform certified under the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework. It lets you accept or refuse personalized advertising and the storage of and access to information on your device for advertising purposes, and choose individual purposes and ad partners. If you do not give consent, you will only see non-personalized or limited ads.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time. Where the App's Settings screen offers a Privacy settings option, use it to reopen the consent message. You can also delete the App's data or reinstall the App, after which the consent message is shown again, or contact us.

3.2 United States Privacy Rights

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) and similar laws in other U.S. states, sharing advertising identifiers and ad interaction data with Google AdMob for personalized advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money.

You can opt out of this sale or sharing by deleting your advertising ID or opting out of Ads Personalization in your device settings under Google → Ads, and, where the App shows a U.S. state privacy message or option, by using it. You can also email us. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

4. In-App Purchases

The App offers optional in-app purchases processed exclusively by Google through the Google Play Store. We do not collect or store your payment information. All purchases are subject to Google Play's Terms of Service. For refund requests, please contact Google Play Support within 48 hours of the purchase.

5. Push Notifications

We may send push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — for example, daily puzzle reminders. You can enable or disable push notifications at any time in your device settings under Apps → Combinations → Notifications.

6. How We Use Your Information and Legal Bases

We use the information we collect to:

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR and the UK GDPR:

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share limited information with the following service providers, who process it on our behalf or as independent controllers under their own privacy policies:

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights. All third-party partners are required to handle your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

8. International Data Transfers

Our service providers may process your information in the United States and other countries outside your own. Where personal data from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland is transferred to such countries, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions, or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Data Retention

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, or under the age of digital consent in your country if it is higher (up to 16 in some EEA countries). We do not knowingly collect personal information from such children. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

To exercise these rights, email us at hello@combinations.org. Because we do not use accounts, we may ask for information that helps us locate data related to your device. We respond within one month (45 days for U.S. state privacy requests).

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).

Since game data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing its data in your device settings under Apps → Combinations → Storage → Clear Data.

12. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy in the App or on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
